Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity programs

The Office of Student Inclusion and Diversity provides holistic programming to help students develop in all facets of their lives.

Specific programs include:

PACE Mentorship Program 

PACE 2023 field day

PACE is an optional program open to all first-year and transfer students, designed to promote cultural understanding and a sense of belonging.

PACE is an acronym that stands for Preparation, Awareness, Community, and Engagement. The goal of the program is to prepare students for their college experience at Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø; help students have awareness of their own identity and others; build a supportive community and encourage engagement with each other and Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø.

PACE begins with an orientation program to provide students an opportunity to get involved on campus early, meet upper class leaders and mentors, gain valuable leadership skills, and meet other students with similar interests before Welcome Week orientation officially begins. Students look back at their participation in this program as a great start to their Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø experience. ¡ú Learn more

Student Leaders for Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (SLIDE) 

SLIDE is a leadership initiative that aims to unify students who are passionate about inclusive leadership. 

The program provides engaging workshops and programs aimed at increasing students¡¯ leadership skills, understanding of social justice, and other topics that pertain to diversity and intercultural engagement.

We believe that improvement in these areas enhance students¡¯ ability to effectively engage and work with people of all backgrounds and perspectives.

Sisterhood of Unique Ladies (SOUL) 

SOUL creates a supportive and inclusive community centered on the experiences of women of color, while welcoming all who wish to learn and engage in solidarity.

SOUL provides programming and opportunities to educate and empower students to embrace their identities and leadership potential, with a focus on the experiences of women of color. SOUL strives to create an environment where students, particularly women of color, are supported to thrive as individuals, students, and leaders.

Multicultural Men¡¯s Association (MMA) 

MMA provides opportunities and experiences centered on the experiences of male students of color, while welcoming all students who want to learn, support, and engage. This initiative strives to build community that uplifts and supports men of color, while fostering inclusive spaces where peers and allies can learn and grow together. MMA also seeks to develop leaders who will positively impact their communities and contribute to an inclusive campus environment.

First Fridays

On the first Friday of each month, OSID hosts a themed program that brings the campus community together and fosters intercultural exchange and learning.
