Workshop: civil discourse
The Learning Commons, Office of Multicultural Student Life and CORE will present a workshop: "Civil discourse: How do we talk about emotionally charged topics?"Retirement Celebration for Paul Olsen
The Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Tribe of Vikings invites the campus and community to a retirement celebration for Paul Olsen, professor of English and coach of the track and field team, who is retiring after 52 years at Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø.
Brown Bag Lunch Discussion with Dr. Peter Kivisto
The Midwest Writing Center Brown Bag Discussion will feature Dr. Peter Kivisto from Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø.
High School Musical Shadow Cast/Sing Along
Alpha Psi Omega will be hosting a High School Musical Shadow Cast/Sing Along. Participants will reenact High School Musical 1 as the movie plays behind them. Audience members are encouraged to sing along.
Showing of "Loving Vincent"
The Arts and Humanities Club will be hosting a showing of Loving Vincent, the world's first fully oil painted film that was recently nominated for an Oscar. See the trailer here.
Culture House Event: Pan Dulce
The Office of Multicultural Student Life will be hosting an event in Casa Latina where pan dulce will be served.
Sarah Ruhl residency canceled for now
Playwright Sarah Ruhl's residency at Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø this weekend has been canceled due to illness. Her visit may be rescheduled in the spring.
French Club at the Figge
All are invited to join the French Club for an evening at the Figge Art Museum in Davenport. The group will view the exhibit "Endless Flight" by Haitian-born artist Edouard Duval-Carrie.
Admission is always free for Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø students and staff.
Students curate college art at Silvis Library
The Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Teaching Museum of Art has partnered with the nearby Silvis Public Library to display student-curated exhibits from the museum's collection.
