Culture Fest 2023
Meet the cultural groups on campus at the Multicultural Programming Board¡¯s annual Cultural Fest. The event, which runs from 1-4 p.m., is a celebration of culture with cultural music and games, lively performances and free food.

Frieze Lectures to examine feminism starting Oct. 19
The Frieze Lectures series continues for its 26th year, from Oct. 19 to Nov. 9. The free public lecture series was created to celebrate the oldest library in Illinois, the Rock Island Public Library, founded under the Local Library Act of 1872.

Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø¡¯s Ariano ¡¯25 named a Bandits Scholar
Recognized for excellence in and out of the classroom, Kade Ariano '25 received a scholarship that pays for his junior year¡¯s tuition at Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø and a paid internship with the Quad Cities River Bandits in the summer of 2024.
Symposium Day
Once a semester, Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø devotes a full day to an alternative approach for learning and opens the process to the entire campus community.
This multidisciplinary approach to discuss a theme exemplifies the value of liberal learning.

Global Ambassadors welcome international students
Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø welcomes 192 first-year and transfer international students this year. Seven Global Ambassadors, who are returning international students, assist the new students throughout the year.
