DESCRIPTION:In the second of a series of Racial Justice and Social Change Campus Conversations\, Dr. Drick Boyd will speak to the historical and racial implications of the deaths of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor at the hands of police.\n\nThe conversations\, hosted by the Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Office for Diversity\, Equity and Inclusion\, are open to the campus community\, but registration is required.\n\nDr. Boyd is a professor emeritus of&nbsp\;urban studies at Eastern University in St. Davids\, Pa. While at Eastern\, he regularly taught courses in race and ethnic relations\, social justice\, urban theology\, leadership&nbsp\;and social activism.\n\nHe is a co-founder of Heeding God's Call to Prevent Gun Violence\, a participant in New Conversations on Race and Ethnicity (NewCORE)&nbsp\;and a member of the Education Strategy Team of POWER\, an interfaith social coalition in Philadelphia and surrounding counties.\n\nDr. Boyd is the author of "White Allies in the Struggle for Racial Justice"&nbsp\;and "Disrupting Whiteness Talking to White People Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Racism."\n
