Augie Abroad Grant (formerly the Passport Grant)
The Augie Abroad Grant (formerly the Passport Grant) is a need-based scholarship of up to $1,000 awarded to qualifying Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø students annually to support their participation in an approved Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø study away program.
The Augie Abroad Grant application cycle is March 1 to April 30 every year for the upcoming academic year. The next application cycle will be from March 1, 2026, to April 30, 2026, for students participating in a study abroad program for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Eligibility
- Students must be currently enrolled at Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø.
- Students must participate in an approved Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø study away program.
- Students must have paid the required deposit for an approved study away program.
Award information
- While this is primarily a need-based grant, consideration of the quality of the application and the application essay will factor into the grant award process. Additionally, preference will be given to first-time study abroad participants.
- It is highly advised that students complete their FAFSA before the Augie Abroad Grant application deadline.
- Grant awards are applied directly to the cost of the Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø study away program, acting as a discount on the program expense.
- Grants are awarded to pay for the study away program costs of the student¡¯s first choice. Students who are awarded a grant and then opt for a different study away program or defer that program from the one indicated on the application may be reevaluated for grant eligibility.
- Students who are awarded a grant and opt not to enroll in the study away program will not receive the grant funds.
- Students may combine this grant with Augie Choice and other Å·ÖÞ±ÍøÍ¶_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø grants.
- The total amount of scholarship funds that a student receives cannot exceed the cost of the program.
- Grant winners will be notified by the IOP office when the selection process is complete.
- Funds will be disbursed in accordance with the Financial Aid policy.
