As part of the services provided by PACE, participants are offered transportation to and from their appointments at the Roseman Center, ensuring seamless access to care and continuity of service.
The partnership is expected to serve dozens of Quad-Cities seniors each year.
¡°This partnership reflects the best of Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø¡¯s mission ¡ª to engage students through hands-on clinical teaching in speech and hearing while serving our community,¡± said Dr. Ann Perreau, associate professor and audiology clinic coordinator at Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø.

Having the opportunity to work directly with older adults has changed the way Hannah Simmer thinks about health care.
¡°It¡¯s more than a class or a practicum ¡ª it¡¯s real," said Simmer, a first-year student in Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø¡¯s Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program. "Seeing how much our community members rely on these services reaffirms why I chose this path in the first place.¡±
The UnityPoint Health partnership complements Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø¡¯s existing partnership with Trinity Å·ÖÞ±ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø of Nursing, which offers a 2+2 direct-entry bachelor of science in nursing pathway.
