Impact of the Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Prison Education Program

A virtual panel discussion will be held on the social and individual impact of the new Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø Prison Education Program.

Panelists will include Dr. Sharon Varallo, Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø professor of communication studies and Violet M. Jaeke Chair of Family Life; Dr. Paul Olsen, professor emeritus of English, and Eric Lindberg, chief investment officer and trustee at the Austin E. Knowlton Foundation.

Starting in the fall semester of 2021, Å·ÖÞ±­ÍøͶ_Å·ÖÞ±­ÍâΧapp-Ͷע¹ÙÍø offered a four-year degree program for incarcerated men at East Moline Correctional Center. The program is entirely funded by the Austin E. Knowlton Foundation.
